Our Story

It all started with a pen, a white t-shirt, and a student budget that didn't allow for expensive gifts.

I've always loved to draw. Ever since I was little, I've filled pages with sketches, shapes, and ideas. Creativity has always been a natural part of my everyday life.

When I was studying, money was often tight. When friends and family had birthdays, I rarely could afford to buy big gifts. Instead, I started buying simple white t-shirts and drawing motifs directly onto the fabric with textile markers.

Every t-shirt was unique.

Every gift was personal.

And it turned out to mean more than anything I could have bought in a store.

Eventually, people around me started asking where the t-shirts came from. Some wanted one for themselves, others wanted to give them as gifts. That's when the thought began to grow:

Maybe this could become something more.

That thought was the beginning of NioDsign.

From sketch to finished garment

Although the designs are now produced digitally, they still start the same way as before.

With a pencil.

A piece of paper.

And an idea.

Every motif is first hand-drawn before it is further developed digitally and adapted to the garment it will adorn. For us, design is about more than a print – it's about creating something that feels thoughtful, timeless, and personal.

We don't follow trends for the sake of it.

We make clothes we want to wear ourselves.

What we stand for

Quality over quantity

We believe in fewer garments of higher quality. Materials are chosen with care, and designs are developed to last – both in expression and use.

Thoughtful design

All our collections originate from hand-drawn sketches. This process gives NioDsign its identity and makes every motif a part of our story.

Production on demand

We don't produce clothes to fill a warehouse.

Every garment is made only when you place an order. This reduces overproduction and allows us to focus on quality over quantity.

Limited Edition

Some collections are produced in very limited editions. Not to create artificial exclusivity, but because we want certain designs to live exactly as they were created – without being mass-produced.

More than clothes

For us, NioDsign isn't just about hoodies and t-shirts.

It's about ideas.

About creativity.

About creating something with one's own hands.

About daring to build something from scratch.

Every garment is a continuation of the first sketches drawn at the kitchen table – just with better materials, more experience, and the same passion for design.

The journey has just begun

What started with a few markers and a pile of white t-shirts has evolved into a Norwegian clothing brand with customers both in Norway and internationally.

Yet much remains the same.

We are still a small brand.

We still draw all the motifs ourselves.

And we still believe that good design begins with a simple idea.
